Ava has accomplished something pretty amazing, rolling over! Jonathan and I are very excited about this new trick. This is pretty much our entertainment now. Here is a video clip of her in action.

12 weeks old
Ava is becoming more fun everyday! She has started to laugh a little recently. Hopefully soon we'll catch it on tape and post the video so everyone can hear her. Ava is also getting a lot more active. I can't really sit and hold her anymore because she's constantly moving. We think she might be a runner like her daddy when she's older because she's always moving her legs. She is 12 weeks old today so I thought I would just post some random pictures. The pictures were taken over this past week. The first is just a funny mad face that Ava makes at us when the camera is in her face for too long. The next few are of Ava playing with her new toys. She enjoys trying to grab them and putting anything and everything that can fit in her mouth. (The one thing we would love for her to put in her mouth is the paci, but she still won't take that. Oh well...that's Ava!) The last picture was taken today while her daddy was making her laugh. She enjoys seeing her daddy after he comes home from work. She definitely gets sick of looking at me all day long!

Play time
The other day Ava had a friend over to play with her. This is Ruby Jane. She is 6 days older than Ava and has way more hair then Ava will probably ever have. (She's so cute!!) Ruby has an older brother, Jack. Jack is 3 years old and he loves his little sister. It was so much fun having them over while I got to hang out with their mother. We had a great visit and we can't wait to have them over again!
Ruby and Ava
Ava and Jack Ava is sick of the camera at this point. Not too happy that mom is flashing a bright light in her eyes all the time. She's gonna have to get used to it because it's only gonna get worse I'm afraid.

Going Home
This past weekend we went to Madison, IN - Jonathan's hometown. Jonathan's grandparents got to meet Ava for the first time. They were thrilled to meet their great grandaughter and gave her tons of hugs and kisses. And of course Jonathan's parents were just as thrilled to see Ava again. None of them spoiled her rotten...yeah right! It was great for Ava to be around family again. My brother and his family lives in Madison as well, so they got to meet Ava for the first time too. Here are just a few pictures of the weekend.

This is my brother Jason. For any of you that know Jason know that holding a baby is completely out of the norm for him. I think the reason he likes Ava so much is that they share a birthday. That's kind of special and I'm already trying to plan a 1 year old birthday party along with a 33 year old birthday party. That might be a little tough, but it's great that they will share their special day together.

Fun Pics
Ava had her 2 month check up this past Monday. She weighs 11lbs. 6 oz. She grew 1 pound and 4 oz. since her last visit a month ago. The Doctor seemed really pleased by her weight. She grew a little longer too. She is now 23 3/4 inches. She's in the 75th percentile in weight and 90th percentile in length. Looks like she's going to be tall like her daddy. She also had 3 shots which weren't fun for her or me. I started crying along with Ava. Thankfully I took a bottle, so I fed her right after the shots. That calmed her down really fast. She was a little sore that night from the shots, but the next day she seemed fine. We aren't looking forward to the next visit with more shots, but hopefully it gets easier each time. The only good thing that day was she slept for 7 1/2 hours that night. That was the longest she's gone, so it was good for all three of us! Here are just a few fun pictures I took one afternoon.

ROAD TRIP
Ava met her cousins for the first time this past weekend. We took a trip down to southern Alabama to see my sister and her family. My sister's girls are 2 1/2 and 1 and they were thrilled to see Ava. As you can see in the one picture, Emma couldn't squeeze Ava tight enough. It was really cute, but we just had to keep our eyes on Emma. She gets a little too excited sometimes. It was our first trip with Ava and over all it went pretty well. She did better than what we thought traveling. She turned 2 months this past Saturday. She's growing up so fast. She has recently found her hands as you see in the picture below. That occupied most of her time in her car seat. (Her pacifier just isn't doing it these days.)
